A blog is conceived.

I was going to start with a "blog is born" but then that would imply that it is a fully formed well rounded and healthy blog. This is not the case. What we have here is a desire to share my ideas and views of the world coupled with a fairly unique (i think) perspective. So there you have it "A blog is conceived".
Now bear with me while this blog forms and grows......I hope that you will offer your advice and guidance along the way.

I was born on October 06 1953 in Vancouver BC.

I am the fifth child of eight children.

Our family was poor, dysfunctional, and maybe somewhat ignorant and I believe that these elements combined to lead me to start marching to the alternative beat.

My childhood years were dark and lonely, followed by a relatively short but dramatic dalliance with psychedelic drugs accumulating in a break from reality (initially i thought of it as a freak out but later started to think of it as a psychotic break).

After spending about a year as a vegetable trying to get back to "reality" i realized that the person i had been was now dead and that i would just need to get used to being this new person living this new reality, and to do so seemed to require a total change of venue. I Hit the road. Today it would be referred to as living on the streets except the street stretched from coast to coast.

After a bit of travel and self discovery life settled me in Ontario. I married got by and was privileged enough to share a few incredible years with two incredible children that now as adults conduct their own orchestra of adventures.

Now i find myself Living on the Atlantic ocean side of Canada on Prince Edward Island. I call myself bi-coastal. The adventure is far from over.

Over the years I have entertained many people with stories of my life and adventures. Often I heard the comment or suggestion "hey Mac you should write a story".

I do enjoy telling the stories. I actually feel compelled to tell them as a matter of fact but i am not a writer or should i say i am not an author. Except now i have some time and along came this incredible mix of technologies computers, internet and now this the "blog".

So here you will find my stories. I will not tackle it chronologically, instead i will jump all over the place starting with the present.
